What is the New York Time Square New Year Ball made of?
Is it the same ball every year, or do they reassemble every year a new ball?
How long has this tradition been around?
This is the 2007-2008 ball drop.
Happy New Year everybody!
The ball drop started in England, but the Times Square thing started 100 years ago, so this is a sort of special date all in all.
It's a new ball every time and it's sort of interesting to see how much heavier or lighter it grows with developing technology.
