Teen Pregnancy: Do We Blame Hollywood?

Do you think these movies:  Juno and Knocked Up will influence  teens to become parents, thus helping to further increase the U.S. teen pregnancy rate?

I don't think these movies are the problem. If there's good education it doesn't matter what movies are shown since teenagers will know how to relate to them in a mature way. When proper education is lacking we're going to be in a problem, with or without these movies.

I wouldn't wanna be in a club that wouldn't let me in...

Truthfully, I think that teen pregnancy is already a HUGE problem in the US.  I don't know if these movies will really make the problem worse, but it's definitely making these 16-year-old mothers feel better about themselves.  It's pretty crazy.  I know that people in other countries, like England, Canada, Israel, and European countries don't really understand how Americans can be so uneducated about sex.  Do they not understand how to use contraception?  I mean, that's the way they see us.  It is a bit pathetic.  Something needs to be done to prevent all these teen pregnancies.

Life is lessons in love. No regrets.

I agree with SibaBarbosa. Teen pregnancy is already a big problem. While I don't think these types of movies help promote these types of situations, I think seeing young famous people, such as Jamie Lynn Spears (pregnant at 16 years old and working for Nickolodean), can have a very negative impact on influencing today's youth.

Its not just the US where Teen sex/pregnancy is a problem. I know numerous girls here in NZ who got pregnant between the ages 13 and 15
