You never say hello to you until you get it on the redline, overload.  You never know what you can do until you try.

Kenny Loggins.  (From Top Gun)

A:

I hope I misunderstood.
I found an echo of fear in the dark spaces of my mind. They would follow him to greatness, or less. They looked like the cheering crowds chanting Sieg Heil.

As I do.  Am I the only one to notice that Obama bin Laden is using exactly the same tactics as Hitler?

I'm a tough old gal who loved her time in the United States Marines.  I have faced death many times, and it is never easy.  I can think of a few sorties where I was ready to lose my guts with fear.  But I flew anyway.  I knew we'd tangle with MiG's on the way in laden with a rack of bombs, like fighting with an elephant on your back.

But I flew behind my pilot friends and put the bombs on target, jenking around to avoid SAM's wiggling up out of the jungle that blew up within fifty meters of our F-4, and the next day (sometimes that afternoon) we'd go up and do it again.

That scared me.

Obama bin Laden scares me a whole lot worse.
