Hmmm. You're implying here also that there's any fear involved. See : If I did that illegal thing that I want to do, I wouldn't HAVE to fear getting caught. AND, and here's the bit I don't think you're picking up on : I also wouldn't NEED to fear getting caught. AND no one would know.

You're also implying that there's some "fun" involved here. No. No fun, actually.

Yet, to do that illegal thing I would do if I knew for sure no one would ever find out : It would give me a HUGE satisfaction. But only I would have that satisfaction. Cause no one else would know.

No : I'm not giving my answer yet. I'd really like to see if there's anyone else out there who can think it through for themselves.

If you read my responses to other answers out there, I've given a fair number of clues.

Here's another : It's such an obvious and simple thing, that the tendency would be to say : Excuse me, why the heck would THAT be your choice ?

So : With a whole universe of possibilities as answers to this question : All you can do is think of yourself?

What if you could do a far greater good in defining what you'd do if you could do something that is illegal but you could get away with it without anyone knowing what you did? Far greater than just taking care of your "fun dream" of having money to travel and "see needy and do good things with."

Again: Who are these "needy"? Are you just giving your sense of morality a very quick fix here to justify what is basically your greed? Sure : You don't want much. Yeah. Neither do I. And I'm not that much younger than you. But I gotta work for a living. And I couldn't live with myself living on money I'd stolen - from anyone. Even if I knew no one would find out. Of course, though, I would steal from myself..... And I have....... But then, all who know me know I did that.

You're implying, too, that the biggest casino nowadays is connected with illegal gambling. I'm not sure about that. A lot of casinos nowadays are connected with Indian Reservations and this country's indigenous nations, and of preserving a way of living and looking at life that our boorish ancestors all but destroyed in creating this "free" nation with "liberty and justice for all."

Might you want to think a little harder what your answer would be?

Hi giggibb, Good. You've got the bit about morality and having to live inside yourself with the consequences of the morality of your choice - even if no one would ever find out.

But, as my dear dad would say, don't be so dismissive : You have a chance here (hypothetically) to do something defined as illegal -- NOT defined as bad or wrong, OK?? -- that you get a hypothetical chance to do without any fear of anyone ever finding out.

What illegal GOOD THING could you do? Besides, of course, as you say, doing nothing at all.

And, remember, too : You get NO CREDIT for doing this thing. No blame : No credit.
