RutgersAlum2005 says,
[I would] Steal enough money to open up a no-kill animal shelter in every city and cover the cost of prosecuting every ignorant person who is found guilty of animal abuse and/or neglect.
Emphasis added for clarity.
Why would you need to steal? It would greatly encourage you to know that millions of other kindly disposed persons feel as you do, and are willing to do anything within the law and reason to ease the plight of animals.
I am among them!
My wife and I have adopted many animals from the pound, and have found them to be kind and loving spirits whom we hope to be with in eternity. Yes, friends, your cat or dog will testify at your judgment before God how you treated them.
They will also testify that you failed to adopt them when they only wanted to fall madly in love with you and be your devoted pet.
Can we have too many friends, when they offer us unconditional love in exchange for nothing more than humble pet food and a place to stay -- with you?
"When we consider what pets give us, and the precious little they ask in return, can anyone turn down the love of an animal companion when they ask only to be with us the rest of their lives? Animals do not flinch at the thought of death. But they -- and we -- should know that love is the way to please God. By showing love to an animal, you therefore show love to God who created them . . .." Billy Sunday.
Bring out the unconditional love of a dog or cat to a lonely person, and you have done two wonderful things:
You have given that animal the chance to show the love he wants to show, and you have cured your own loneliness in the bargain.
"Be kind to animals week" occurs 52 times annually to the Chrisatian.
God asked us to love. Is the unconditional love of a dog or cat less worthy than what we show?
Show that you care. Adopt an animal.
In Jesus Name, I bid you peace.
