I have listened to a variety of sources regarding unemployment and if you total them all, we are at 16%. Keep in mind, Reagan was elected after Jimmy Carter, who did his best to sink the American economy. Reagan had a lot of work to do to turn the mess Carter made around. That being said, we are in worse shape than even the "Great Depression" because we have allowed the Government to "bail out" and take over many privately owned and operated businesses. The Government has no business running car companies or banks and all the other things, they have or want to take over, such as Health Care. Just look at the ?great job? the Government has done with the Post Office! We are in dire straights and allowing communists to be Czars will only further destroy our country.
