When there are no bones you estimate about 1/4 pound per person. When there are bones, such as spare ribs, then you estimate about 1/2 pound per person. There are some big hungry men who will eat half a pound himself, but it averages out because others eat less. So lets say you have to feed 100 people to be on the safe side. You would need 25 pounds of meat. That would be about 2 turkeys in the 12 to 14 pound range. This is assuming, like you said, that a person also fills up on potoatoes and bread and cake. God bless you in your effert to make Thanksgiving nice for these people.
