If you are looking for something non-alcoholic, I would suggest making hot cider, which is a great fall/Thanksgiving drink. Here are a couple of great cocktails for Thanksgiving:

Thanksgiving Turkey Cocktail:  fill a tall thin glass half full of cubed ice. Throw in one and a half ounces of bourbon whiskey, half an ounce of applejack brandy, a teaspoon of lime juice and four ounces of cranberry juice. Stir the ingredients for a delicious pre-feast treat.

Fall Cocktail: Fill a cocktail shaker half full of ice cubes. Pour in one ounce of dry vermouth, three-quarters of an ounce of gin, three quarters of an ounce of apricot brandy, half a teaspoon of Creme de Cassis and half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Shake the mixture well and strain into a favorite cocktail glass.

Grandma’s Apple Pie: In a favorite shot glass, pour in one ounce of your favorite vodka, one ounce of apple cider and a small bit of ground cinnamon. Top the liquid with some fresh whipped cream for a delicious and smooth shot.(this is one of my personal favorites)

You can find some other great Thanksgiving cocktails here! Good luck and enjoy :)

I like Mulled Apple Cider on Thanksgiving. This warm, comforting drink is easy to prepare and is a great finale for a holiday.

Ingredients
1 gallon apple cider
2 tablespoons whole allspice
2 tablespoons whole cloves
5-6 cinnamon sticks
orange slices

Directions
Tie small spices in a small cheesecloth and drop into the cider; allow cinnamon to just go on its own. Heat mixture on the stove and simmer for at least 30 minutes before serving, stirring occasionally to agitate the spices. Float orange slices on top of the cider.Pour into mugs and serve, with a cinnamon stick, if desired.
Makes 1 gallon.
