I've been told today that Agave, the plant which they make Tequila from, may get extinct soon, and much of the Tequila we drink today is old and was stored for a long period of time in barrels. Maybe someone has some more information on the issue??
Half of it is true, there is a shortage of agave and there's a small small risk that agave will be extinct. if there will be a real problem, they will grow it artificially (all agave needs is heat - the desert will be fine for that) .

There seems like there is a problem with the Tequila market. There is some uncontrolled growing of Agave which will be harvested this year.
