Temperature influence on muscles

Does muscles tend to become bigger at summer time, when temperatures are higher?

47 thumbs up

Tough question. I think that because of the muscles proximity to main blood vessels, they might look bigger and expanded when it's hot, because of the blood vessels expansion. Other than that, the muscles themselves are expanded when they are warm (that's why warming up is a compulsory before doing any physical activity) but it's hardly visible to the eye.
