hi there,

my son is now 7 yrs old, but when he had been in his 'Terrible Two's' which actually lasted till he had been 5  ...lol ... and he threw tantrums, I ignored him  ...  just make sure, that the Little One does not break anything or hurts him-/herself, but ignore it.  It always worked with my son.  This gives him/her the chance to 'steam off and cool him/herself down again'

I know I'm going to get a lot of disagreement from people with this answer before I even post, but here goes.

Your child needs a swat on the rump when he behaves like this.  I'm not saying to beat the child, just stimulate his brain through his seat.  At the very least it will interrupt his behavior, unless there is a medical reason for these temper tantrums.

This is a natural thing, to swat your child on the rump when they misbehave.  Mother dogs bite or tug on their puppy's ears to control and train them.  Without a mechanism to control offspring they would grow up unsocialized to their own species.

most of the time when children have temper tantrums they are looking for attention so the best thing to do is don't give them the attention and they will eventually stop

When I was a kid, my mom just walked out of the room and ignored me. I never had another temper tantrum.
