Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

You probablly mean Gyroscope.  A Gyroscope in short is a spinning wheel whose axle can get any orientation.  That orientation is very little effected by an external force (or torgue) that is applied on it (while it is in spin).  Normally the gyro is mounted in gimbals (one or several) so the external torque is minimized and therfore it's orientation remains almost fixed (and it doesn't matter what is the motion of the platform it is set on / mounted to).  It's like the "spinning top" (toy that children like) you spin it and it always remain wuth the pointer (axle) pointing up, even on a slop...... Now you can use it for navigation.  Hope I am clear enough.
Best regards,
