I owned guns when I was a teen, but back in those days, almost everybody hunted and owned guns. We were taught to use and respect guns.
Nowdays, it's the whole gangster thing, or they want to be cool, or defend themselves, or just terrorize and kill people. Though some may still be hunters and taught proper gun handling.
