Teenager got his driving license

Is there any easy, practical way for limiting a private car speed?

I'm not very serious about the specific question above (though I would be glad to know if there is such solution...) but My son just got his drivers license, and I'm looking after creative ideas for making his first Kilometers safer, so any ideas are most welcomed.

Thanks.

RE: Teenager got his driving license

There aren't any ways to do it. I think it's actually considered unsafe to limit a car's speed because there are situations where you must go quickly (to complete an overtaking and so on). The only cars that I know of which have limited top speed are German luxury cars that have a speed limit of 250 km/h.

How to make his first kilometers safer? Try to join him when he drives and teach him from your experience!

I think that you shouldn't allow your son to drive the car on his own until you completely trust him.  Driving is a privilege and he should earn the permission to drive... it shouldn't just be given to him.  He should also know that if he ever gets a ticket, he will have his car taken away and that's the end of story.  He should know that there will be consequences if he is not responsible with the car.
