Sweetie, you have already waited 2 years!!  How much longer are you going to wait for the time to be right?  I know it is very nerve wracking, worrying about being rejected, but you will only know if you step up to the plate and take a swing!  Ask her out to a movie.  I bet she says yes!

It sounds like you are allowing the "competition" to get in the way of you asking her out. You have already express your feeling to her already, so ask her how she feel about you feeling this way about her first...wait for a "response". And then ask her out, or to be your girlfriend....this all depends on the "response" that she gives you.
