Tectonic plate theory on Yedda - People. Sharing. Knowledge.

Tectonic plate theory

The strongest and most potentially fatal earthquakes are those that happen nearest convergent and transform plate edges. The recent earthquake in China was not near a tectonic plate edge. The India plate is the nearest one to central China. Explain how that could happen. Is there a tectonic plate which is not accounted for in that region or is the concept of the worst quakes on the plate edges incorrect?
