Technorati rankings

Why is technorati not updating ranking of my blog (42 days)

http://manojranaweera.wordpress.com? I have written twice to them. Both times only the automated response was received. All other highly unused blogs get updated very quickly. I use technorati tags, and the lot...

Did you claim your blog with Technorati? If you're not sure, check your Technorati account settings (

http://technorati.com/account/), you should see your blog under the title "Your Blogs", and it should not have any red text (e.g. "In Progress") under it.

Also, I actually took a look at your blog, the format you're using for some of the Technorati tag isn't correct. You should replace the urls like  http://technorati.com/search/EDI with http://technorati.com/tag/EDI.

I claimed it many months ago and technorati tracked it until 42 days ago. All my other blogs get pinged and I use Qumana as blog editor, which pings after each postings. Thanks for the tip about URL

Batter them over the head - send at least one email every day for a week until they wake up.

BTW - make sure you've got the Technorati code working correctly on your site.

If that fails then wirte a blog post entitled Tehcnorati sucks - that will get their attention

I am not sure about Technorati rankings but in my view blogs has become such a crowded space that their value is decreasing substantially. No ofence intended but most blogs are boring with little or no value.

Blogs are a great place to acquire tacit knowledge as they tends to be unstructured and informal. Yesterday, I met a MD of a company I hope will play a crucial part of ebdex partnering network. I met him due to blogging. Its up to you how you use blogging. More people know me because of blogging - and that can only be viewed as positive in my opinion
