Following this post I also started wondering, Is TechcrunchIT really about IT or just about general internet and technology?
Looking at the latest posts, I'd say it is about what it's supposed to be. IT stuff is usually very boring so I guess the writers are sometimes trying to spice things up with some materials that touch on the subject but aren't entirely traditional IT.
On the same topic, last week I got the book "The Big Switch" by Nicholas Carr about how the world is shifting from centralized information management to decentralized cloud computing that will make hooking up to information services similar to the power or water grid. IT is getting more like consumer services as things advance.
