Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
Don't bother too much... she'll pick English at Sacramento within weeks... and it doesn't really matters how many private lessons she gets in Italy.  All she needs is basics.....  Real life at an English speaking community / school will be the best teacher !.
Best regards,

All lessons should be conducted in English so that she develops an "ear" for the language as well as learning to speak. After lessons she should listen to the BBC or VOA. This way she will have a head start when she gets to Sacramento. The U.S. Army language school taught this way and was quite successful.
