Taxes: do I claim my daughter as a dependent?

My daughter is in college with a scholarship and might have to additionally apply for financial aide for the upcoming year. I am starting to fill out my taxes, should I claim her or should she claim herself as an independent? Which is more beneficial for obtaining financial aid?

Hi,

I think you should ask an accountant this question just to be sure. Laws can vary between countries and the best thing is to contact someone where you live who's an expert on the issue.
