Tax audits

This article looks helpful for avoiding an audit.  But what I want to know is, how bad is an audit?  Have you been audited or know someone that has?  Is it a difficult experience?

Live simply, love generously and  care deeply.

Tax audits are very nerve-wracking, you have to produce all the receipts on the items that you claimed for your deductions.  You need to be organized and have everything ready to present these to the IRS Auditor.

If your accountant prepared the Income tax with you, he/she can go with you to the Audit.  But if you prepared the taxes yourself, then it's

really harder.
