Tango Makes 3 Gay Penguins

Children's Book "And Tango Makes Three" is being censored in Loudoun County, Virginia. It's a story of two male penguins raising a chick by themselves. Grounds for censuring: Gay propaganda.

Do they really think by pulling out this book they're going to change the reality?

No, but they think that by taking this book off the shelves they will stop this phenomena from being encouraged. I'm not against gay couples raising children but I think that we have to clarify to children where the norm lies as opposed to the exception.

I actually am not against this book but I can understand how in more religious states people might find it problematic.

They're probably under the impression that if nobody sees it, it'll go away.

I beleive that this is absolutly and completly wrong to pull this book from public libraries. First of all, this is not a book about 3 or even 2 gay penguins. Penguins dont even have the capacity to be gay, and if both male penguins are gay it doesnt make the newborn penguin gay. This is a true story that happened in NY and it isnt anything to be arroused about. It is not trying to promote homosexuality. The true reason for this book is to show that you shouldnt abandon anyone. To simply answer this question, no, this book isnt going to "change reality" because the reality is that this book is not about homosexual penguins. Publish the book in anyway it makes them feel comfortable. this s just my opinion. and its really a cute book

All censorship is wrong .

As Lenny Bruce said :" an information , pamphlet on venereal disease , is not an instruction booklet on how to go out and get it ! "
