Does TV religion offer any rea threat to the church in the US? Did Jim Bakker's downfall influence anything? I mean clearly it doesn't stop 6 million visitors to the theme park, but still...
I think the cynical use and abuse of innocent women in the name of religion is more important here. How could they have simply bought jessica off and that was that?
The Church is strong enough to incorporate public TV rather than be afraid of it, as can be clearly shown from this example and many many others.
