I know nothing about Tamil, but I hope you will find

azhagi or Kural Tamil Software suitable for your needs.

Hi Amalasingh

You can find excellent Tamil typewriting software from Panacea Dreamweavers at http://www.pdsoftware.in/download.html. Their TamilOlai software is a simple text editor that supports Typewriting and Tamilnet99 keyboard layouts. The R4U software is a word processor that supports 6 keyboard layouts, including Murasu and Romanised. Hope you find this info useful.
