Taking a young boy to the zoo

A friend if mine is working in a zoo and I thought I might take my nephew there. He's  2 years and 4 months old. Do you think it's  too early, or will he enjoy it?

I think it's a great idea. As long as you brealise you might not see everything and as long as you pay attention and make sure the rythm isn't too fast for him - I think you both will have a great time!

When it comes to dealing with animals, I would say it is almost never too early. Kids just LOVE animals. 2.5 years is actually a great age for that.

Besides - what have you got to lose? If he doesn't enjoy it - change plans :-)

Heck yeah!  If he is a kid who can use a camera, get him one to take pictures of the animals and then he can make a scrapbook of his outings with his Uncle who takes him to cool places.  It's sort of a mini vacation.

Besides, we have lots of endangered species, good to let him see them while they are here.

You are a cool uncle; that boy will cherish his visits with you.
