Taking care of my heart

I eat a lot (I am a bit chubby) I do not have any cholesterol problems, but some man in my family had heart problems. Is there some thing else I should look for when I take blood tests or should I ask my doctor for some special heart attack?

i wouldn't ask for a heart attack ;-)

Often when you're young you results seem fine, and the problems are really latent, and don't show up till you're older. So basically even of you're fine in terms of cholesterol, you probably should consider exercising on a regular basis, making your heart stronger and healthier.

Probably you should also test for blood-fat, but really the best thing (as far as I know) is exercise.

If you have a history of heart problems in your family it is advisable that you start following a heart healthy diet – like eating cold water fish twice a week (recommended by the American Heart Association) to get your intake of omega 3s. Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet and get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. You could also start taking cardio supplements like CardioMatrix to help maintain normal heart functions. It contains nutrients such as omega 3s (known to benefit heart health), folic acid, phytosterols and CoQ10. CoQ10 is a nutrient which is needed by every cell in the body and is mostly concentrated in the heart. These proactive steps will help to protect heart health!
