Is 'Heroes' a good show?  Do you think the show premise is a good idea?

Well, it's not bad. You can say that it is X-MEN with a better storyline, engrossing characters and, since it is a TV series and not a movie, a different pace. It also caters to the geek in me, as they creators are investing on cinematic scenes, science-fiction-lite references here and there and some inside jokes.  "the X-files", in its glory days, offered the same feeling of investment in the production value.

I agree with giladn.  The production value is especially striking.  When I first saw "Heroes," I thought, "How can a TV series with a cast of mostly little known actors be so polished and beautiful?"  Even if you don't love the show, you can still appreciate how perfect it looks.

In any case, I do like the premise that average people can be heroes.  I also like the suspense, as you gradually learn about the characters and the world in which they live.

I think heroes is a great show.  It's different and sci-fi but it appeals to the imagination.  It has a story line and gives it's characters strong personalities.  However, i would like to see more special effects and i would like for the character's super traits to be more prevelent in the story line.  Definitely thumbs up
