Family Guy is an adult cartoon show created by Seth McFarland. It premiered on the FOX television network in 1999, and was based on previous short films McFarland had produced. It has been cancelled twice and returned to the air each time after the network was convinced that the show had a strong fan following.
The show is often politically incorrect and McFarland's goal is that it never be moralistic, as the preachy South Park can be. However, recent episodes have been heavily left-wing and anti-Christian, causing some dissatisfaction among viewers.
The jokes rely on pop-culture spoof, graphic violence & bathroom humor and general silliness.
