Symptoms of yeast infection?

What are the symptoms of yeast infection or Candida ?

Or perhaps you know of an online resource that has info on treating yeast infections, and explains what some of the symptoms of yeast infection are?

Thank you.

Some symptoms of yeast infection :
(I have included a good link at the end which will help you with treating yeast infections.)

1) Yeast infection on the skin usually resembles flat red rashes and can infect various regions of the body.

2) A yeast infection in the vaginal area   will be accompanied by itchiness and irritated skin around the labia. There may also be stinging/burning during urination or sex. If the infection has advanced internally it can be accompanied by a discharge of a white or yellow mucus often causing bad odor - smelling like yeast infact.

3) Symptoms of yeast infection in the male genital area

  • Sensitivity and soreness on the penis head and skin.
  • It will resemble a reddish rash and may have small blisters
  • Very itchy
  • The rash can also advance to the groin and anus area
  • If the infection manifests internally one may also discharge lumpy white mucus from the penis.

(Unfortunately a large percentage of male yeast infections remain largely undiagnosed in what is wrongly presumed to be an only female infection. If this is the case the infection can be passed back and forward between partners.)

4) Candida in the throat, mouth or on the lips will resemble white pimples on swollen red spots. Mouth and throat yeast infections can be painful, and eating and swallowing will be difficult.

5) Yeast infections can also occur between the fingers and toes . The yeast infection will look like red dry flaky skin that can burn and itch.

Candida (the cause of yeast infections) is actually with us, both females and males, all our lives, but is usually kept under control by our bodies natural defenses: the skin, our white cells and antibodies, friendly helper bacteria living on and inside us, and our immune system.

If one or more of these defenses weaken we could risk contracting some infections.

The good news : There are natural alternatives to prescribed medicines. These  often work better and quicker in treating yeast infections because they attack the route and don't only get rid of the symptoms of yeast infection - reocurring yeast infections are very common.

If you would like a permanent, quick (12 hours) and very effective solution then I would suggest you visit treating yeast infections naturally . They give excellent advice on treating yeast infections safely, quickly and permanently.

Hope I did a good enough job in explaining the symptoms of yeast infection. I wish you all the best and I'm sure you'll do fabulous with their natural yeast infection cure.

Cheers.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much Indiana.

Just took a chance asking a question on Yedda, never thought I would get such a comprehensive answer.

Unfortunately some of those symptoms of yeast infection apply to yours truly, I checked out the link to the natural cures website, and must say it really makes sense - so I have signed up and am going through the e-book ... excellent stuff, can't wait to get back home (am at work) to put it to practice.

Thanks again.

24 hours later and all my symptoms have gone - absolutely brilliant, It's difficult to describe how relieved I am right now - especially as I have just entered a new relationship with a great guy ...
Thanks so much for the advice Rene.

ps I will close the question now before the link spammers arrive, that way at least your advice can help someone else who may stumble upon this question.

How long until yeast infection symptoms are all gone?

I had a yeast infection, and I used treatment and everything was getting better but now it seems it might be coming back only after a few days. There is still that smell and some itchiness. Is it possible that it-s coming back and should I get more treatment just to make sure?

i was diagnosed with a yeast infection last August. i used Monostat and it was cured However the infection kept coming back with my periods. Monostat doesn't permanently cure yeast infections, anyone have suggestions?

If it is bad, you'll have to go to the doctor - swab for yeast and in minutes he'll let you know. Then give you an ORAL pill which is MUCH less messy than the OTC yeast infection treatments, and about the same price. If you let a yeast (or any vaginal) infection go too long, I'm pretty sure it can have damaging effects..

Hi,

If you're sure it's a yeast infection, you can treat it by:

- Avoiding sugar as much as possible (yeast live on sugar).
- Eating SUGAR FREE yogurt with live acidophilus cultures, at least two cups every day.
- Eat lots of garlic, which is anti-fungal.
- Apply the SUGAR FREE yogurt to the affected area for a few minutes three times every day.
- Apply crushed garlic (as pasty as you can make it) to the affected area for a few minutes, three times per day.

Following the above home remedies should have you all cured within a week. If you are still not better in a week, time to see the doctor. Best of luck!

You need to be sure that it is actually a yeast infection. If it is you can use the over the counter medication for yeast infection that women use. Just buy it in the tube, not pre -filled applicators. Apply it 3 to 4 times a day. Keep using for 5 to 7 days even if you feel better, otherwise it will come back. Eat yogurt, try not to eat sugar.

Also, a doctor can prescribe a pill that you could take.

Good luck
