Symantec Norton Antivirus

Hello, I'm a new user to Yedda, I have a slight problem with my antivirus tool, so I thought I'll give it a try. Well, the problem is with the LiveUpdate. Although the program is set to do it, it doesn't, Why?. By the way, I'm using a legit copy

That's it? No other clues? Give me something to work with here. Does it give you an error message? Are you connected to the Internet?

No error messages. My computer is constantly online. Version I'm using is 10.0.0.846 OEM.  Updates are set to Friday 20:00 when the computer is on. It has always been like this since I got my computer. (Antivirus was already installed). I've used to update manually, which is not that much trouble. So, if you find it to annoying just give it a miss. Thanks.

As I seem to recall, Norton AV performs automatic updates via the Windows "Scheduled Tasks" mechanism. Open "Scheduled Tasks" from the Control Panel, and check the list of scheduled items for the [appropriate] task (the one that calls LiveUpdate) that will have been added there by Symantec. Next, ensure that the Task Scheduler service is active, by selecting the "Advanced" menu. If the first item is "Stop Using Task Scheduler", then make no change as the service is already active. If the first item is "Start Using Task Scheduler" then select this item to enable the service.
