Switching between printers is VERY slow...

I often switch between two printers in WinXP.  The computer waits about 5 seconds before the other printer shows when I go to the print command and change from one printer to the other.  This is very slow when you do this function a few times every couple of minutes.  Anyone know how to speed that up?

Print command? Are you using DOS printing or normal laser jet printing?

But from your explanation i assume you are connected with a Network printer.

If thats the case, you need to set the printer permission and DNS on TCPIP correctly where the printer installed on the computer.
