Elevator Doors Is there any requirement anywhere that for outswinging outer elevator doors, that the floor has to be marked out, such as "Stand behind line - Caution - outswinging door" or marked by tape showing where the door swings outward? An elderly occupant of an apartment building was knocked down to the floor required a hip replacement when a delivery man pushed the outswinging elevator door out with such force that it knocked the woman down.
