I've got the same problem. I have a friend who has a dual hinged Medicus which I borrow and swing several dozen times each day. This repitition has helped synchronize my swing. If you haven't tried one I suggest you try it and see if it helps. I'm considering buying one.

Bashert, If it's meant to be , it will

If you have used your shoulders to make the upward turn and not your arms , after you've turned your hips forward your shoulder shoud now be begining to turn  back towards your target with your leading arm straight . It is a shoulder turn and not an arm turn. You shouldn't be trying to pull your arms down at all.

Sure. Swing the club with your left hand only. This will help build up your left side. You must start the downswing, by pulling down with your left arm. If you merely drop it, consider miniature golf.

John, for those of us who don't play on your level and even take lessons to break 100, I want to respond to your comment; "If you merely drop it, consider miniature golf."  My pro has emphasized letting the club do the work, so when I'm on plane, with my hips and shoulders in the correct position, I keep my left arm stiff while taking the club back, and then drop it, as if into a slot. He uses the "drop into a slot" because I tend to overswing and my hips get ahead of my hands, or vice versa and I don't get the club face square to the ball. Thinking about the correct positioning on the take back and then dropping, letting go, or pulling down, are all interchangable phrases to me.

For Rick, J.D.'s suggestion to swing the club with the left hand only is an excellent idea. I've got the Medicus and every evening I take 50 practice swings at a golf tee with my left arm only, before swinging with 2 hands and going to the range. This is helping me stay in synch so I'd get one and take a lot of practice swings. It may or may not help you but it can't hurt.
