1300 cases in Mexico is hardly "ravished" by the flu.    8 students with mild case is hardly a big threat.

With all the junk food people eat, as well as all the fast food, it is amazing how weak their immune systems have gotten.  People get colds all the time, as well as so many diseases it is unbelievable.  All you have to do is eat a healthy diet and avoid dairy completely(with the lactose that greatly weakens all humans' immune systems) as well as most meats(especially red meats) and avoid sugar(from cane sugar that is) and people could have so much stronger immune systems.  But instead they put so many  poisons in their mouths, it is really amazing that they even call it food , and as a result they get so many illnesses it is amazing.  That alone will help wipe out most human beings within the next few years  or so.  Whether it is by 2012 or 2050 we'll see.  Just think  if they used what was in their heads and changed to a healthy diet they'd live longer. Then they could also live in peace, accept people  world wide, regardless of what myths they believe in, and live without wars, but we're to low on the intelligence scale to accept change. All we can do is complain. When it comes to trying to change our diets and our style of life, heck complaining is much easier. As they say in Fiddler on the Roof "tradition, tradition.....". Sure go blame it on some fool from Mexico, or on your local doctor.  But we are our own best doctors and  most people don't even give themselves appointments any more.  They just feed themselves poison and get sick easily, and then sometimes die easily.

I do not have my spleen which makes my immune system down. I work with children also.  I do not think our government is ready for any epidemic, there is one now. We have the small box vaccine which is not given out any more. The one you had as a child if you are older is no good. Our children never even were given it. Small Pox is a viable threat with germ warfare.   I think this wait and see if anybody else dies is baloney. Get everyone the shot that wants it. The regular flu shots had a shortage a few years back because of one company. Tell me when there is a blackout in NY and a good portion of the east coast is anyone prepared? No there is mayhem. It is called an epidemic NOW. You tell me who is going to get the vaccine first? CDC, Health people, Red Cross and its volunteers, the president and his family, white house staff, probably congress and their families. Is health insurance going to pay for the shot?  Is everyone who needs it going to have access to it?  I feel it could get worse before it gets better because it seems a certain amount of people must die before anything is done as always. AM I going to sit around and worry about it No! Live life !! I am just venting about how slow our government agency do things. I could go on but it will go off track.

I think you are ignorant to call this person ignorant. Don't you know how to read, she did not say she feared the people but the shops that import their items from Mexico to sell at the shops.  You should maybe read more carefully.
