Swimming Pools London

My husband and I plus our two children will be spending a week in London, we are booked into a serviced apartment near Tottenham Court Road. We would really like to be able to go swimming outdoors in the mornings – is there anywhere in this area that you could suggest?

London is not really a city for outdoor swimming.  Hampstead Heath has a large pond that people swim in and I think Hyde Park does as well but you have to be quite brave.
