Is there a sushi restaurant in Israel that has sea urchin available on the menu?
I lost sleep at night because I remembered I had a sea urchin sushi in Israel ! Finally I remembered - onami !
they have it ( apparently only on season ) and it is called oni gonkon or gonkon special (with or without a quail yolk ).

For some obscure reason sea urchin are very rare in the Israeli restaurants , my guess it is just a meter of time before it will join other important ingredients.
One of the few restaurants that served sea urchin and served sushi variations (to some extent) is pangea ( I have been there last Silvester and they had variations on both ) you should give them a call because they do not have it on the regular menu but I have been told that they might have it in their changing specials.here is there site :http://www.rol.co.il/sites/pangea/
Also I have tried to make some myself withe sea urchin I picked it up while diving in Sinai - it was a lot of work !

Iimport of sea urchin begun here (in Israel) since 2005.
Also, one doesnt eat the whole sea urchin. What one eat is the sea urchin's colored ovaries and eat it rare.
