I had a fall from work. I had to have screws put in my ankle and bone fusion. I now wear orthodicts, although the specialist I'm trying to get has authorized another type of orthodicts since these hurt (but if I didn't have these I wouldn't even be able to stand let alone walk). My question is I put my orthodicts in my sandals I wear, since they are the most comfortable "shoes" I have. I need to know if there are sandals made to put orthodicts in that have the heel lip this article talks about. I've done some looking, but with no real luck. Thanks for your help.

You might try the Berlin Shoe Factory in Berlin WI.  They make custom-fit, orthopedic shoes and perhaps sandals as well.  If not, they might know where you should turn.
