When talking about Germany, for example, some areas have fibre-to-the-home broadband, resulting in the possibility of blazingly fast access - but just for a few zip code areas...
The price that people will pay for broadband access will ultimately depend on the market size, which increases by the technical availability of a certain type of access, e. g. DSL or fibre.
