Sump Pump backup systems

Has anyone used the HomeGuard Water Powered Backup System from Hi Lo Industries as a sump pump back up system when power is out? I have no success with battery backups as they all provide power for max of 8 hours any they don't have enough horse power....I have a generator but I have no one to hook up if I am not home. So I am looking for any advise or comments from anyone who has a high water table who floods every time power is out. I can't afford a automatic generator (they run $4000-$5000).
