Summerfest 08 Milwaukee WI

My teenage daughter wants to go to a concert at Summerfest this summer in Milwaukee. We are from out of the area so I am wondering what exactly goes on here and if it is an appropriate environment for teens?

How old ???  I'd say no if under 17. Can be a big party place if one is so inclined. Unless you and your daughter have a good relationship and you trust her. Be nice if someone older could go with them...

It really depends on their age, I have a 15 yr old daughter, and I would not let her go, and we are very close, she tells me almost everything, even if she knows she'll get in trouble, she will tell on herself. With that, I still would not allow her, and as much as I trust her, I feel she is way to young to go out of town to " SUMMERFEST 08" as I know she is afraid of drugs, but there will certainly be drugs and alcohol there.

 Everyday is Earthday.

I have been to many music festivals and with Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI there is nothing for you to worry about. It never gets rowdy or out of hand. There is alcohol there so if that is something that you do not want your teen around I would not let her go. Other then that, you will find families, teens, couples and lovers to be the crowd you are surrounded by. It is a really great atmosphere and I highly recommend anyone to go!
