Suicide or Murder?

Ms. Isabel E. Kaufman~

Please help me to understand how a medical examiner concluded that my 19 y/o son committed suicide.

He was found dead in Amsler Park/McGregor, Tx on Feb. 16, 2006. McGregor PD did not investigate, did not ask me anything about his life~whether he may have been depressed, on antidepressants/other prescription drugs/recreational drugs, or may have made suicidal gestures.

All 8 McGregor officers knew my two sons, especially Joshua. Yet, all four, on scene, stated they did not recognize the subject upon arrival @ Amsler Park. Former Officer Norris ran a wants and warrants check on the 'unknown' subject @ 5:44AM, only 8 minutes after arriving on scene...with NO identification!

At 6:15AM, the Justice of the Peace pronounced him deceased. When the officer asked the JP and EMS personnel if they knew this person, they all agreed they did not.

At or around 6:30AM, when he was removed from the chain, the back of his shirt was pulled down, revealing ROBINSON tattooed across his upper back. The same officer commented, 'because of the proximity to the Robinson's home, they figured he must be a cousin they had never dealt with before.'

I found out that a McGregor patrol officer was the last person to see Joshua alive in Amsler Park @ 1AM, but not from the McGregor PD. When I asked the chief, former Interim Chief, and current chief which officer, out of two on duty, had seen Joshua, the chief said, "I can't remember." To this day, I still have not rec'd an answer to this question.

When I asked how is it possible to run a wants and warrants check on an 'unknown' subject, the chief said, "It's not like the officers have drivers license numbers in their heads. A wants and warrants check is done in case there's a warrant, it can be dismissed." I said, "Who cares, he's dead!!!"

The current chief/former Texas Ranger, said, "The wants and warrants check was done on the complainant, not Joshua Robinson." [Which one is lying?]

I had contacted the Texas Rangers, specifically Steve Foster, to request an investigation into my son's suspicious death. He denied my request several times over the course of about 2 years. As of March, 2008, he became Chief of Police/McGregor. [McGregor, TX, Pop. 4,853]

Three days after Josh's death, a horrifying thought hit me~THEY FOUND HIM ALONE IN THE PARK IN THE DARK!

I began my own investigation, teaching myself Criminal Investigation, went to Criminal Justice classes, taught myself basic forensics, such as manner and cause of death, cadaveric spasm, rigor/livor mortis, digestion processees pertaining to time of death, etc.

I eliminated suspects, including my second son, and all my leads brought me back to the police.

Autopsy:

"Tardieu spots on the anterior surfaces of the thighs, as well as on the posterior surface of the body."  "Red-purple parenchyma with pulmonary edema."  "Suicide/Hanging."

No broken neck, no damage to the neck's soft tissues, no peticchiae, only pink, frothy fluid in the lumen of the larynx, major bronchi, and alveoli.

The Medical Examiner, Dr. Reade Quinton/SWTMC/Dallas, told me he had initially ruled Undetermined until receiving a report from former Det. Martin, causing him to change the ruling to Suicide. He also said that there was no evidence of strangulation.

Martin's report:

"Reportedly, Joshua was a drug user."

"Joshua and mother fought the previous night."

"App. suicide by chain vs neck."

Toxicology negative for drugs/alcohol. Joshua and I had a very loving, but contentious relationship, and NOTHING is apparent in a death investigation.

No police investigation, no investigative findings. How was the ME able to conclude Suicide?

www.americaiswatching.org (Joshua Robinson) Attached documents, including a crime scene photo, dispatch logs, petition/comment section, contact numbers, statement that a patrol officer had seen Joshua @ 1AM, not yet hanging in the swing. [Note: Amsler Park has a 10PM curfew for EVERYONE]

My other son, Michael, is just now 'dealing' with his brother's death. He also attempted to hang himself about 2 weeks ago. He panicked and saved himself.

"Whatever it Takes"

Hi,

My sincere condolences for you and yours.

After reading the info you provided I would definitely hire a lawyer and a good private investigator. Something doesn't seem right with the police story and the medical examiners findings. Someone is hiding something.

If you cannot afford a lawyer, start with the media, send shorter versions of letter above to local media and then branch out, city state, etc. Try all media, radio, t.v. newspaper, etc. someone will want your story and investigate.

I hope this helps

Jeff
