What is it called when a double personality person commits suicide? Is it called suicide, or a homicide?

I think suicide is homicide anyway, because you wnd up killing a person, but suicide is when that person is you.

But are you OK?

MY inferiority complex isn't as good as YOURS

This question made me chuckle which is highly inappropriate. It fits in the category of suicide, even if one personality murdered another. This is unlikely as multiple personalities usually like to suppress one another to become dominant. That's not to say mp's never commit suicide. When the original personality comes back into the body,he/she may wish to end their stint imprisoned in their own body.MP's are very controversial, some science backs up claims of MP's and while other studies do not.People suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder, also suffer from limited choices of treatment.Therapy in some cases can help, other times it is known to agitate the other personalities.

Very interesting question.

It is called suicide, Marco-Metz. People suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder, often want to kill the other person but when a person is suffering from MPS, when he/she commits suicide, it is not called homicide

They should go to a Psychologist and have sessons that may help the  patient.

This is a very interesting question and hope that there will not be a suicide..

Suicide is the taking of one's own life, whereas Homicide is the taking of another's life. So they are not one and the same no matter how you slice it or dice it.

It is called a "tragedy" whenever anyone commits suicide.   I thought your question was a joke at first, but then I thought that it might be something someone might challenge the insurance company with.  Since there is alot of disagreement in the psychology world about multiple personalities really existing, the insurance company would probably win on that one and declare it a suicide.   I doubt anyone who chooses to commit suicide is in their normal healthy state of mind anyway, so it still boils down to one person killing one being which is themself.  It's kind of a trick question, but the answer is suicide in my opinion.Surprised

I'd say it's both in my oppinion. I mean it's like one body with two people inside of it. Say you got the real person name Donna and one night her alternate Annie decides to take over and commit suicide well technically the body it's self belonged to Donna there for Annie murdered Donna. So Donna was murdered and Annie committed suicide.
