I have absolutely no idea of what would replace a polk audio psw 50. If you want to step up in class, however, I have a Velodyne 13 inch remotely controlled sub woofer that would knock anyone's socks off. The Velodyne Corporation is the one that makes those huge sub woofers that you may have seen if you've ever been to a discotheque. You know, the ones that make you feel the sound reverberating in your chest. It's so cool to show my guests the difference in sound between with sub woofer and without. All I have to do is hit the mute button on my remote control. They are amazed. Need I mention that after that, they are amazed of me
