Study economics in the U.S

Well finding the "best" of anything is somewhat debatable but yet you can find part of the "best" colleges and universites in the states in second degree ecnomics:

I know that MIT has one of the best programs.  I would pick up a book and look at all the differences between the programs.  There are small differences between different schools.   Good luck.
