i have a strong shoulder blade pain what is it from?
I enjoy using Yedda to ask and answer medical questions. I previously worked as a nurse but am now based from home - having just completed a long spell of breast cancer treatment.
Life has also been busy lately after the arrival of our new puppy called poppy. She's a black labarador retriever and drives us all crazy at times but we just adore the buzz she brings to the house. Last week she caused me a shoulder injury by tugging when out walking - but I can forgive that for the fun she brings.
Last month my husband invested in the Resperate device for lower blood pressure - and boy is it effective? We've discovered that it's much better overall to lower blood pressure naturally.

Hi Redeye
Shoulder blade pain can come from a number of sources but by far the most common is what's called referred pain from the neck
Check out this shoulder pain page for lots more information
If it persists for more than a day or two then go see your doctor.
I have strong shoulder blade pain under my right scapula. It only occurs at night time. It is a strong contraction that will take my breath away, and sometimes bring me to my knees. What is causing this?
Yes, most likely it's coming from the neck or upper back. Try this pillow to fix referred pain from the neck into the shoulder blade: http://www.tractionneckpillow.com
Nerves in the lower neck do most of the inervation to the muscles of the shoulder and shoulder blade.
