Just Strict?

To append to 'Too Strict? Or Just Abusive?'  Thank you for all the input, to update those that replied; i want to tell you a conversation i had with my son the day after.  I asked him what he felt about the whole thing? In my preoccupation i had not asked this before and he took a breath and said, that alot of what was said made him open his eyes a little, on maybe the boy wasn't as truthful about the treatment he receives.

I asked him if he thought that the freind was trying not to follow the rules which may have been reasonable at one time but because of his continued infractions it has gotten to where he has no privellages whatsoever,  that the boy would rather be out on the streets and with freinds than within the strict environment he is confined to at at home. My son has also confirmed that there is no physical abuse.   My son has encouraged him to stick it out and apparently at least up to this day, he has agreed and followed through.
