Stress and Imbalance

In recent months I have started increasing my caffeine intake dramatically. I have also started suffering from more frequent headaches.

One of the problems is work stress, I'm aware of that, but could I be suffering from any kind of chemical imbalance?

The first thing you should do is give up the caffeine,  totally, at least for now.  Caffeine is one of the worst things you could do for headaches... it actually causes them.  You might be stressed, or tired at work, but try something else, maybe even getting an energy drink from jamba juice.  The chemical imbalance you're speaking of, sounds like it has started from you're increased intake of caffeine.  Try drinking decaf coffee if you really love coffee.  Try drinking tea, which can be very relaxing.  Good luck.

7 thumbs up

Long term stress can cause headaches, along with lots of other health problems.  If stress carries on for a prolonged period of time, you can start to suffer from hormonal imbalances.  Caffeine intake may not be helping with the headaches either, as you can easily become dehydrated.  You should look for some other ways to link

relieve stress   and try to drink lots of water and reduce your caffeine intake.
