The best way to avoid stress is to plan well in my opinion! I'd suggest that you take your calendar or create one from the day you need it (until Christmas) marking off what needs to be done each day.

This way you'll get your shopping done early, your home will be organized, and you'll have everything in place fast simply because you've broken down the big tasks into little tasks that can be accomplished each day.

I'd suggest that you list out all the things that you need to do - Assign priorities to them and then break them down into daily tasks that can be managed easily per day. You have a plan to follow every day that will leave you feeling in control = no stress.

Hope that helps!

I like lauras ideas.  Also it helps me to think that Christmas is about love, charity, and other good things.  Christmas is more about helping people than shopping for presents.

I prefer herbal stress relief remedies for the upcoming Christmas holidays. I believe that this is a good option because herbal remedies reduce the negative impact that too much stress has on our lives. Everybody knows that these can be nearly miraculous in helping to improve conditions like tiredness and stress.

I would like to share some popular herbal remedies that can help you to manage stress effectively are:

-Kava Kava: Kava Kava has been used by Pacific Islanders for its relaxing, slightly euphoric effects. It is non-narcotic, and is available in many forms. Kava Kava is often an ingredient in herbal stress relief compounds.

-Chamomile: Chamomile is a relaxing herb that is commonly found in teas that are specially formulated to induce relaxation.

-Valerian: Valerian is a wonderful natural alternative give support to restful sleep.  Proper sleep is important if you are trying to combat stress and exhaustion.
Have a nice Christmas!

 Be Thankful

 Speak softly

 Let your love shine...

The two answers you have gotten are excellent.  Simply set your priorities in the proper order and begin planning early.  Add some rest time for yourself when you are making your calendar and savor every quiet and blessed moment that comes your way.  If you take the advice offered in the first two answers, you'll have the kind of Holiday you desire.  Most of all, Enjoy yourself.

I agree with the answers from lauras and fern.

1. Have a plan and have a journal or book handy all the time

2.Make a list

3. Set a budget

4. Be flexible and practical

5. Finally but important, do things that will create fun and loving times with the family or loved ones.  Christmas is best when it involves your loved ones, and is very much meaningful when you look out to help or bless others, especially those less fortunate.

I have come to know of a unique christmas gift idea option that is time and money saving. You can check it out here:

I would make a list of people I need to get presents for and set a reasonable budget. It helps to get a few extra ones in case. I hate last minute shopping and I prefer to look for deals online. I like to spend Christmas with the family, but not too much family :P

I think planning ahead will give you more time to enjoy the holidays!
