Do you think there's a difference between being street smart in different countries?
Is being having street smarts in one culture the same as having the smarts in another?
I think that you have to know the local culture to be really street smart in a city or country. But I also think that you need a similar confidence, no matter where you go.

Street smarts is mostly a matter of environment. While I can be street smart in Long Island, NY, I may not be street smart in New York City. The entire environment and way of living is different from place to place. While it may be true that the basic characteristics of street smarts or the personalities of street smart people are the same everywhere, where you are makes a difference. There is a line from a Burt Reynolds movie where he says to someone, "It all depends which part of the country you are standing in as to just how dumb you are." You can be a genious in New York City, but put that genious person in Boise, Idaho and I'll bet he won't be as smart there. Hope I answered your question.
