Storing prepackaged beans

There are tons of sites that say you should store food in "Food Grade" containers. I have been stockpiling beans. I've been purchasing 1 pound bags of beans for several weeks now, whenever I go shopping. I now have about 200 lbs of beans. I didn't want to just leave them on the shelf in my pantry even though they are already packaged.

Is it okay (since they are already prepackaged) to store them in plastic storage bins? I got the bins from Walmart. They are grey plastic bins with tops, used for storing things, like toys, clothing etc. Thank you.

I would think that if they are prepackaged it would be ok to store them in plastic bins. How many do you have...bins, as in 5 gallon bins?!

If its a large amount my only suggestion would be to make sure its in a safe area or maybe do get a 5 gallon bucket, an empty paint bucket (that hasn't been used of course haha) and stick them in another clear bag and then put it in the bucket....From my own experience if storing in mass amounts critters may get in if its not durable..... Hope this helps in some way : )
